Smoke and Mirrors

Smoke and mirrors,
It’s not all that it seems.

Media is the smoke,
They hide in the flame,

Casting lies as truths,
and truths into shame.
Speaking

Words that soothe,
Words so smooth,

Words we are addicted to,
Like Nicotine.

Break us down,
Burn to the ground.

Mirror is not your true self,
Stolen identity.

Eat our bloodstained money,
With mouths coated in honey,

Words for the masses,
Written carefully,
by the privileged few.
